Hate crime? There were 15  charges brought against this kid. I touched on this before, but now the jury has come back with the verdict. Ravi was not found to be responsible for his roommates suicide (no shit), but he still has charges carrying a maximum sentence of 10 years. It’s bullshit, plain and simple.

If Ravi had done the same thing to a straight roommate and his girlfriend…..there would be no hate crime. It would have been the exact same crime. Ok LGBT community, how do you answer that one? You want equality? Well this conviction is not equality. There is no hate crime. Ravi did a stupid kid thing to an ALREADY unstable roommate. Unfortunately for Ravi, his roomate’s instability was so far gone he took his own life. Then the LGBT political agenda machine caught wind of the story and the kid was persecuted in the media and faces 10 years in jail. Casey Anthony is free, and this kid is facing 10 years? 10 years,? WTF is wrong with this picture? What ever happenned to cruel and unusal punishment?

Did Ravi commit a crime? In the eyes of the law he invaded his roomates privacy which is against the law. I would be pissed if someone did that to me, but 10 years? No way. I don’t want to make light of the young man’s death, but come on people the punishment doesn’t fit the crime. He should be punished in some capacity, but ruining his life is ridiculous.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I would like someone to explain “tolerance” to me. It must mean, “agree with our agenda, or else.” This is America people. Just like the LGBT political machine has the right to push their beliefs, the rest of the country has the right to disagree. Attacking Manny Pacquiao’s religious or moral beliefs is exactlty the same thing the LGBT is fighting for……the right to express their beliefs and lifestyle freely. Seems like a witch hunt to me.

So let me get this straight, Manny Pacquiao is banned from a mall….in California, where same sex marriage is NOT legal….because he doesn’t support same sex marriage. So the Pac Man is being banned for supporting the laws of the state of California. Hypocrite much? The people of California have spoken twice on this topic. Why is the voice of the people not recognized? The legal battles go on and on on this topic. The people have the final say, not a lobby group and a sympathetic judge. Push to amend the Constitution to allow same sex marriage. Let the PEOPLE decide once and for all. If it passes, it passes. If it doesn’t it doesn’t. Put this non-issue to rest. Yes it is a non-issue. We have bigger fish to fry. Like I said in my last rant…..8% > 4%…..for those of you who missed it…..that is the unemployed population versus the gay population.

Hey LGBT community, if you want acceptance and tolerance, start practicing it yourself. Screaming for legal battles and banning people from places and events because they disagree with you is bullshit, plain and simple. Why is it ok for you to discriminate? Practice what you preach. Just because Pacquiao doesn’t believe in gay marriage, doesn’t mean he isn’t tolerant of your lifestyle. If you want to continue to hide behind the Constitution, start living by it first. People have the right to voice their opinion, especially against a topic that is illegal is 44 states! If you don’t like his beliefs, don’t support him. Don’t watch his fights…….or root against him.

I have some advice for the LGBT community….the vast majority of people don’t care who you sleep with. I don’t. I don’t care who you marry. Personally, I could care less. Your house and your family is your business. You can control what happens in your household and you can choose what path to take……so can the rest of us. Most people are not “tolerant” of your methods to push a political agenda on the rest of us. If we don’t agree, we are sanctioned? WTF is that? Mark my words, these methods are eventually going to set back the tolerance achieved to date. Believe it or not, its not all about you. The fact of the matter is the law and our life here in America is about us. Individuals have the right to believe whatever and speak their mind. We all can agree to disagree on a vast number of topics and policies. We have the right to disagree with our government, laws, and the opinions of others. There shouldn’t be any reprecussions for anyone who disagrees with a group of people….especially one who only accounts for 3-4% of the population.

Obama Announces Support of Same Sex Marriage

Well, well, well…..the POTUS has flipped the script. He now supports same sex marriage. My response? Who cares? This is the opinion of one man. Do I agree? Maybe I do maybe I don’t. Do I care whether he supports it or not? No I don’t, and neither should anyone else……but they do. We are all entitled to our opinion and our personal beliefs. Yes liberals, its ok for people to not agree with your politics. You can’t file a lawsuit and claim your constitutional rights have been violated.

Here is where I have a problem. The PEOPLE of this country either fundamentally support same sex marriage, oppose same sex marriage, or don’t give a rat’s ass about it. You may have noticed the six capital letters in the last sentence. They are in a specific order and spell out a word the White House seems to have conveniently forgotten. P-E-O-P-L-E….as in for the PEOPLE and by the PEOPLE. We have this thing called a democracy, Mr. President. I know you are trying your hardest to destroy it, but it is the cornerstone of our country’s existence. You are a politician. You are the leader of a superpower. You are in an election year. If you think for one minute PEOPLE believe you had an epiphany causing a shift in your personal beliefs, you are sadly mistaken. This is clearly another desparate attempt to sway uninformed young voters. There is nothing noble about your statement. Its not heartfelt and its not sincere. Its a self-serving act of desperation.

Same sex marriage is important to same sex couples, there is no question about it. I respect their feelings and understand the importance of having a spouse…..being married myself for 20+ years; however, with the percentage of LGBT community being roughly 4% of the population, this is not something the President should be focusing on. Sorry if anyone is offended (no I’m not), but if 96% of the population is not looking to take advantage of a marriage law change, I don’t see how it should be taking up so much time and energy for 4% of the population…….unless the 96% support legislation to change the Constitution. The unemployment rate is over 8%, why doesn’t he have an epiphany on how to lower the unemploment rate?

Barrack, if you are so sure your change of heart sits well with America, put it to the people……many states already have (This is a state’s rights issue, not a federal one BTW). Some states have voted for same sex marriage, some states have voted to not recognize same sex marriage. DC wants to chime in and dictate what we should believe and accept? This is an issue of state’s rights, but I will be your hucklebery Mr. President. Barrack, put it on the ballot. Prove this is not another false promise in an election year. Get the process started to amend the Constitution. I dare you. You won’t, but you will keep promising and wasting everyone’s time just to gain support.  This madness has to stop. The states have already been attempting to please the will of the people; however, if the people of these states decide they are not in agreement with same sex marriage, lawyers and the courts get involved and claim the will of the people is unconstitutional. If the people vote and agree on an amendment that defines marriage, this rhetoric and time wasting will be over.

New legislation will not change the hearts of the people, regardless of outcome. Believe it or not, there are still going to be people who don’t accept same sex marriage whether its legal or not, and those who do support it. There are still going to be same sex couples whether its legal or not.

One thing to remember, voting is secretive. It’s not done in public and no one gets to know what you voted for. What am I getting at? I am getting at the fact voters will not have to share their views with the very people who have caused this mess. Who you might ask? The media and political activists who strive to ridicule anyone and everyone who publically opposes same sex marriage. These are the very people who claim to be pleading for tolerance yet refuse to be tolerant of views in opposition to their agenda. As you can see this very point in the reaction to Bristol Palin’s comments on her blog:

I don’t read her blog, and I wouldn’t call Bristol Palin an authority on anything, but this article makes my point…..oppose the agenda and rocks will be thrown at you. Bristol’s entry was not anti-gay, it was anti-Obama; however, the reaction is exactly what I would expect from the left……it was viewed as a personal attack against same sex relationships. Anyone who opposes their views are “uneducated” and out to get them. She makes a good point the President should not be forming policy or opinion based on the feelings of his daughters. Of course they don’t understand why people are treated differently, they are CHILDREN. If the POTUS is governing on the sensitivities of his children, God save us all. Bristol also commented children do better with a mother and father. So what? That is her opinion. This is a single mother who believes her child would do better with a mother and father. Anyone who thinks a child raised by their biological mother and father together  is at a disadvantage is certifiable. Again, relax lefties, single parents and same sex parents can raise children, I never said they couldn’t; however, the perfect situation for ANY CHILD is to have mom and dad raise them together. Why wouldn’t that be best?

Long story short, history and the polls have shown, most people do not support legislation allowing same sex marriage. Easy lefties, I know you are huffing and puffing, and calling me names. I said “do not support legislation”. We have more important things to fix and better ways to spend tax payers money. I could care less about who marries who and who sleeps with who. It doesn’t affect me in any way. Everyone has the right to be with whoever they want to. I do care about paying for things that do not help me or my family. That is my choice, and no left wing commie bastard is going to guilt me into thinking otherwise. The topic is not important to me, new taxes and more bureaucracy are not getting my support ever.

This is a major win for the GOP if they don’t keep the debate going. Ignore it Mitt, please. Don’t go on a campaign to bash the President over same sex marriage. Treat this like the non-issue it really is. Focus on the economy and the middle class. If you do, you will be moving to DC come January. If you make this a big deal, you may not have a chance at the twitter and facebook population Obama is pandering to so desperately.

RIP Adam Yauch

As every Beastie fan knows, Adam Yauch “MCA” passed on May 4, 2012. The Beastie Boys are in the converstaion as one of the most innovative and influencial musicians in the last 30 years. They touched all genres from punk to rap to rock. They were not only gifted lyricists, but accomplished musicians.

One of my favorites, “Sabrosa”

I hadn’t listened to them in a while, but when I heard of Yauch’s passing, satellite radio played them non-stop all weekend. I have been wearing out my ipod the last few days as well. Their music brings back so so many memories of high school and old friends. The Beastie Boys have been a major influence on my taste musically. I have always been a huge hip hop fan, but their music had such a wild range of sounds. They never were mainstream. They always did something different. From the music to the lyrics to the delivery…….original. As I grew older I started to appreciate rock music more and strayed away from a lot of the newer hip hop/r&b artists. I started listening to rock and alternative more and more. I found myself really getting into groups like Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana, Limp Bizkit, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. They were all edgy and original. No one is like any of them (I know Limp Bizkit isn’t anywhere near the caliber of the rest, but they had two albums I still listen to on a regular basis), but the Beastie Boys catalogue has shades and flavors of all of them. Todays rappers, for the most part are gimmicks. Unimpressive and unoriginal. For every Eminem, there are ten thousand Tag Teams. No one is ground breaking. Its disappointing. IMHO, today’s artists are LAZY. How many songs can I record and get onto itunes? That’s not an artist. Be original. Be creative. Do something different. It’s not about one hit, its about relevant longevity.

No story to reference. Just an observation and a stern warning to America. Talk to you kids, especially your college age kids. Don’t let the rhetoric and games fool the young and inexperienced voters. Try to shield the brainwashing that goes on at high schools and colleges across our nation. The left infiltrated the education system long ago. It happenned to the baby boomers, and unfortunately, many of them never recovered. Too many of them were weak minded and believed the hype about free love, drugs, and the evils of capitalism. They were tricked into believing social policies were for their own good and that the governement should supply the people with all lives neccessities. Believe it or not, this happenned in high school and college. No one stopped the brainwashing and now we have a large group of 50 and 60 somethings who poisoned their children into believing the government should be giving free rides. What does this have to do with Obama? Everything.First, Michelle Obama started making appearances on Nickolodeon and other kid shows and networks. Obama made sure to keep up his final four picks every March. Recently he started bringing up student loans….

Obama and Bin Laden. WTF is this BS I keep seeing? There are a handful of shows “revealing” all the treasures and intelligence collected by the raid on Bin Laden’s hideout. Really? Top secret intelligence? Good infornmation about Al Qaeda? Sure? Bullshit. You know why? If we had uncovered all these secrets, WTF would there be a show about 1 year after the event? Why would we tip our hand on what we discovered? We would we not use this information to our advantage? Having a Geraldo Rivera Al Capone vault special is pretty f-ing stupid if you ask me. This special tells me we didn’t get shit during the raid. It also tells me Obama is trying to remind people that he is taking full credit for the death of Bin Laden. Last time I checked Barry, you were not there. That is like stopping at the fish market on the way home from the lake. If anything, the raid should have happenned long before you “made the call.” It just so happenned your fake birth certificate came out the week before. Nice diversion. I realize I have been slacking here big time. The whole Trayvon Martin thing has sort of soured me on writing lately. I have some strong views on the handling of this case. The racial overtones created by the media have made the case so touchy its not worth discussing until the trail is over…..if there is a trail.

Politics have also been a let down lately. I am truly uninspired by the lack of leadership. I shouldn’t be so easily defeated, but its an election year. Why should I expect the politicians to focus on America? They have an election to get ready for. Our needs don’t matter until the presidential debates. By the time we are sick of waiting for the winner to implement all the lies…I mean promises…..it will be time for the next election.

I will touch on a couple of Obama related topics. The first being Healthcare Reform and the Supreme Court. Listen here Barack, you are not Fidel Castro (easy Ozzy Guillen, I don’t love him), you are not a monarch, you are not a supreme being. You have laws and people to answer to. The Supreme Court is there to keep you from running wild desecrating the Constitution. Stop trying to threathen the justices and intimadating the outcome of the ruling. You can’t force us to use health care we don’t want. Its not up to you dog eater…..did I just write that? Yeah, I did….

Especially when the SOB who came up with the plan has no intention of using it. Social Security is a cluster f$%&. I am paying into something I will never see. Had I took that SS $ I have been burning every paycheck for 20 years and invested into an IRA or 401k, I wouldn’t need the damn government to help me at all when I retire. STUPID STUPID STUPID.

I hope the movie pays tribute to the service Mr. Allen gave to America. I would love to hear his story and how our country changed around his time in the White House; however, I think the film may lose site of Allen’s life and focus on a political agenda. If so, I will pass.

Just a warning, this is terrible. What is up with this chick’s teammate? She could have got in the middle of this and walked away. WTF? This girl has got to be expelled from school. Not just miss the soccer season…..miss graduation, and then off to the slammeroo for a spell. If she would have pushed her, I would have understood to a point. She got emotional and felt embarrassed for falling. It was totally inadvertent as their feet became tangled. This girl hit her a multitude of times and it was instant. Rep Bobby Rush. WOW. Are you really going down this road after the evidence in this case has leaked? Are you simply ignoring the evidence? I am a little bothered an elected official would act in this manner in front of his peers.

I was going to call the ALCU when I saw the video. Don’t be surprised if your “D” buddies run you out of the party for quoting religious verses in the House chamber. There might have been a Muslim in the chamber (was Obama there? I joke….kind of) who was offended. This might even be perceived as bullying or a hate crime against non-Christians for quoting the bible in their presence. What does racial profiling have to do with biblical verses? White, black, green, yellow, purple, walking through a gated community at night with a hoody, or without, is going to catch the eye of a security guard or watchman. Especially if there had been recent break-ins. It is well established Martin was visiting. He didn’t live there full time. It is really not too surprising Zimmerman spotted him. Had Zimmerman planned to profile Martin and kill him because of the color of his skin, I surely do not believe he would have reported his perceived suspicious activity to the police in the first place.

Agreed, however………..with all the news coming out about Trayvon Martin, there is a pretty good argument he was in fact a hoodlum. The “hoody” has nothing to do with it. There are a few reasons to put the hood on when wearing a hoody.

Martin had been suspended from school 3 times this year. He also boasted of taking a swing at a bus driver. He was caught with drugs, and drug paraphenelia, additionally he was caught graffiting his school. During the graffiti episode, women’s jewelry and burglary tools were found in his possession. Does this information exonerate George Zimmerman? Absoultely not. Does this information make Zimmerman’s story of what happenned the night of the shooting more credible? Especially Martin’s ability and likeliness to initiate a physical confrontation, ABSOULTELY. If you haven’t heard Zimmerman’s story to police deemed consistent with the evidence….

Martin’s family is in mourning. They are going to stick up for their child. I can’t fault them in the slightest; however, to say there is a smear campaign against there son is just not fair to Zimmerman, but I respect their feelings. It’s their son and they loved him. They saw the best in him always. There is nothing wrong with how they feel. The rest of us, however, don’t get that luxury. The truth is what it is. Its not a smear campaign if it’s fact. The Martins want justice. Justice is what we should all want in this case. This also includes Zimmerman’s ability to act under the protection of Florida law, regardless of race or opinion. Justice is a two way street. The accused and the accuser have to share the road to the same destination. To obtain justice in our country, there must be due process. The same foundation of beliefs causing the Martins to cry foul, is the same foundation of beliefs which requires all evidence be collected and compared with Zimmerman’s story. Zimmerman didn’t write the “stand your ground” law. He didn’t write the carry and conceal handgun laws in the state of Florida either. If Zimmerman is found to have been just, in accordance to the law, calling for his head literally and metaphorically, is not justified.

There is another witness. A 13-year old who lived in the community. I watched a video a few days ago….it’s gone. No where to be found. I would imagine the witness’s age has a lot to do with it, but I heard a very very similar account to the video above.

I think this story is sad sad sad. It’s a tragedy in which two parents have lost their child. It’s awful. They will never see him again and I feel very sorry for them. It’s not fair. George Zimmerman has also lost his life, regardless of whether he retains his freedom or is locked up for murder. If he is found to have followed the letter of the law and not charged with a crime, he will have to live his life in hiding and fear. Had the media handled this case differently, the police would have been able to do their job more efficiently. Public outrage and opinion should have no bearing on how to apply the law as it is written. On the other hand, they do have bearing on changing the law. It’s time to focus on the handgun and self defense laws in Florida. They are obviously flawed. We all have the right to own guns, but do we really need so many to lawfully carry one?

Your irresponsibility and blatant disregard for the process of justice, has aided in the creation of public outrage and poor race relations in the city of Sanford and across the nation. How dare you call yourself a defender of civil rights? You are a shit disturber and have no relevance without distention among racial lines. Trayvon Martin

Tragedy. This story is awful. Any time an American is murdered at the hands of another for no good reason is a tragedy. Murder happens very often in our country. Not too often does a case such as the Martin case play out the way its has. Millions are calling for the arrest of George Zimmerman. I get it. I think he is guilty too. I also think the guy should be locked up because he is mentally unstable. The racial motivation of this killing is still not completely clear to me.

Zimmerman obviously was suspicious of every black person who walked through the community. He has a predetermined opinion of their motives which in his eyes were to commit a crime. This guy is a wannabe cop. He thinks he is a hero. He thinks he is saving the day and protecting the neighborhood. Obviously this guy is nuts. I honestly think he wants to create situations so he can be seen as a hero. I am speculating here, but I don’t think his intention when confronting Martin was to kill him. He wanted to arrest Martin and ride into the sunset. Zimmerman thinks it is his calling to patrol the neighborhood. He felt empowerment with the gun and wanted to make Martin submit to his authority. Obviosuly Martin knew the guy wasn’t a policeman. He probably wasn’t falling into line as Zimmerman expected. Something happenned, whether it was a struggle or argument and Zimmerman took Martin’s life. Martin wasn’t doing anything wrong. He wasn’t looking for trouble and didn’t have a weapon. Zimmerman wanted something to happen so he could pretend to be a policeman; however, I am having a hard time believing he killed Martin soley because he was black.

He killed him becuase he wanted Martin to be the bad guy. In Zimmerman’s mind, he probably was a bad guy because he was black. This makes Zimmerman a bigot without question. I just don’t feel comfortable (yet) accepting Zimmerman purposely followed Martin with the sole intent of killing a black man. It doesn’t fit. This guy got off being on patrol.

The fact Zimmerman wasn’t arrested is troubling. He should be in jail without bail until there is conclusive evidence supporting he acted in self-defense. How did this guy get a right to carry permit? Furthermore, why would a volunteer in a gated community need to carry a weapon? Why is the community not placing some of the blame on the HOA for not getting Zimmerman out of the neighborhood watch program? There were signs, warnings, and complaints. People were complaining about his tactics and he had confronted residents about many things (this is another reason why I question Zimmerman pulled the trigger only because of race….he harrassed the white residents as well).

The investigating offciers claimed they had no reason to doubt Zimmerman’s story and self defense claim. The 9-1-1 tape I heard had the voice of someone screaming for help…..then there was a gun shot. This tape alone should have prompted an arrest. If you are in fear of your life, the agressor is certainly not calling for help. If Martin had been involved in an altercation with Zimmerman, and was getting the best of him, at some point Zimmerman pulled out the 9mm handgun. At that point Martin was more than likely calling for help…..you could here it on the tape. IMHO Zimmerman had the upperhand and his life was not in danger. That’s not self defense, that’s murder. Zimmerman should be required to prove his self-defense claim. Even if he pulled the gun to stop Martin, he didn’t have to use it. This point and the 9-1-1 call are why people are beyond angry. Zimmerman seemed to have a choice and control of the situation since Martin screamed for assistance. I agree with the masses on an arrest; however, little proves Zimmerman killed Martin over race…….it’s possible, but not a certainty.

If the officers who decided to let Zimmerman go were forced to follow the “stand your ground” legislation……that is beyond comprehension. Who was asleep at the wheel when this thing was passed? I am all for citizens being able to protect themselves against an assailent, but Martin did not initiate the contact between these two men…..and he wasn’t armed. The confrontation should have NEVER happenned. Zimmerman should have NEVER been allowed to have a gun as a citizen on neioghborhood watch patrol. Does that mean I am against handguns and the right to own one. Not even close. I just have a hard time understanding why any citizen needs to carry a gun out in public unless they work in law enforcement or security (volunteer neighborhood watch doesn’t qulaify). If legislation is protecting Zimmerman, someone better take a closer look at the law and do their due diligence at protecting victims from loopholes going forward. This wreaks of a loophole.

People should be pissed off, but let’s make sure we are fighting the right battle. Zimmerman is not a policeman. He is a nut job and not any law or regulation can change it. The outrage of this tragedy needs to be directed at Florida lawmakers, not Florida law enforcers. The police have to operate in the confines of the law. They don’t write the rules, they just enforce them. State legislators and the courts have to fix the injustice and Zimmerman needs to be held acountable for his actions. I have my doubts they can arrest him if the law supports his actions. The actions of the investigating officers were supported by city officials based on current legislation (at least they did in an article I read). Maybe a higher court can find areas in the “stand your ground law” that are unconstitutional that will place Zimmerman in custody sooner than later.

At the end of the day, Trayvon Martin has lost his life and his family must mourn the loss of their son. It’s an awful story, but let’s hope justice is served correctly in the end.
